What is JTL-WMS and when is it worth it?
JTL-WMS (Warehouse Management System) is the warehouse management solution from JTL-Software GmbH. It extends JTL-Wawi with an interface designed for warehouse staff using handheld scanners (mobile data capture devices), plus detailed storage location management with zones, aisles, and high-bay rack structures.

For handheld devices, we recommend rugged industrial Android scanners from Zebra (TC series) or Honeywell (CK series). These devices are drop and dust protected to IP67, offer long battery life, and are operated directly through JTL-WMS Mobile. For the warehouse WiFi, we plan access point placement so every zone is covered without dead spots, since JTL-WMS is an online application and needs a stable connection at every storage location. For label printing, the Zebra ZD421 and Zebra ZT411 have proven reliable.

Warehouse topology planning, zones, storage locations, fast movers
Warehouse topology comes before JTL-WMS setup. TwoPixels analyzes with you which items have the highest turnover (fast movers), where shipping stations should be positioned, and how zones should be named.

Carrier integration from JTL-WMS
JTL-WMS creates shipping labels directly at the packing station, without switching to the Wawi interface. JTL-Shipping connects DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS, and other carriers. The packer scans the finished package, the system automatically selects the right carrier based on weight, destination country, and customer preference, and prints the label.
