JTL × Shopify, robustly connected
TwoPixels Bridge or a native connector, we choose the right solution for your stack.
Open price calculator →The JTL × Shopify integration is more than a simple data transfer. It is about connecting two systems with different data logic, different API rate limits and different failure modes so operations stay stable even under load. TwoPixels GmbH has built its own connector for this and runs it every day in live client operations, with several Shopify stores served reliably from a single JTL-Wawi instance.
JTL Service Partner for Professional Shopify Integration
As an official JTL Service Partner, we know the weak points of standard connectors and have fixed them in the TwoPixels Bridge. For you this means your stock levels in Shopify are correct, even after a Wawi restart, even after a Shopify API overload, even with simultaneous orders from multiple customers.
The integration is not a one-time setup job. It requires ongoing maintenance, monitoring and adjustment with every Shopify API update. TwoPixels takes full responsibility for this, including monitoring, update management and error alerting.
- Our own connector (TwoPixels Bridge), not a standard plugin
- Ongoing monitoring of all sync processes
- Update management for every Shopify API change
- 6 active tenants in production, proven every day
Product Sync: From JTL-Wawi to Shopify
JTL-Wawi is the master for all product data. Changes to prices, descriptions, variants, images or stock levels are transferred to Shopify automatically, with no manual work and no export-import loops.
This matters most with variant products: Shopify and JTL-Wawi use different data models for variants (size, colour, flavour and so on). The TwoPixels Bridge translates these models reliably, even for complex variant matrices with multiple axes.
- Complete product data: title, description, tags, metafields
- Variant handling: size × colour × flavour, even multiple axes
- Pricing: gross/net, currencies, tenant-specific price groups
- Images: automatic transfer of product images from JTL
- Categories/collections: mapped from JTL product groups
Stock Sync: Real-Time Availability Without Overselling
Overselling is the most expensive problem in e-commerce. If Shopify shows a stock level of 5 but JTL only has 1 left, the result is cancellations, disappointed customers and operational costs. The TwoPixels Bridge syncs stock from JTL-Wawi to Shopify in real time, triggered by stock changes in the Wawi, not by periodic polling.
When several Shopify stores draw from one Wawi, the total stock is split correctly: each store gets its assigned share of stock, configurable per tenant and per product.
- Real-time stock transfer (event-triggered, no slow polling)
- Overselling protection: Shopify stock always up to date
- Multi-store stock split, configurable per tenant
- Reservation logic: ordered items are reserved immediately
- Reorder alerts: item below minimum stock → automatic notification
Order Import: From Shopify Into JTL-Wawi
New Shopify orders land in JTL-Wawi automatically, complete, correctly formatted and ready to process right away. Address data, items, quantities, discount codes, payment method and shipping method are imported 1:1. Manual entry is no longer needed.
Special care goes into edge cases: bundles, free items, vouchers, click-and-collect orders and partial deliveries. TwoPixels has built these cases into the Bridge explicitly, since they often fall through the cracks in standard connectors.
- Automatic order import: new orders in Wawi with no manual effort
- Complete data transfer: addresses, items, discounts, payment method
- Edge cases: vouchers, bundles, click-and-collect
- Customer data sync: new Shopify customers are created in the Wawi
- Order status routing: the right Wawi workflows are triggered automatically
Shipping and Returns Fully Mapped
When an order is marked as shipped in JTL-Wawi, the Bridge transfers the shipping confirmation, including tracking number, to Shopify right away. Shopify then sends the shipping notification to the customer automatically, with no manual effort on your side.
Returns and refunds are also mapped through the Bridge: cancellations in Shopify trigger a cancellation request in JTL, and refunds are linked to the correct accounting document.
- Shipping confirmation: tracking numbers transferred to Shopify automatically
- Customer notification: Shopify shipping email is triggered automatically
- Cancellations: bidirectional mapping between Shopify and JTL-Wawi
- Refunds: correct accounting documents in the Wawi
- Returns workflow: configurable per tenant
