JTL POS, checkout system with TSE
DSFinV-K compliant, multi-branch capable, real-time ERP sync. Setup from 990 €.
Open price calculator →Anyone running a branch store and an online shop at the same time knows the problem: products are sold in the shop, but the online store still shows them as available. Or the other way around. JTL-POS solves this problem through direct integration into JTL-Wawi, stock stays in sync in real time, whether the sale happens at the checkout or in the shop. TwoPixels GmbH sets up JTL-POS as an official JTL Service Partner Silver, handles hardware planning and trains your staff.
What is JTL-POS?
JTL-POS is the native checkout system of JTL-Software GmbH. It is not a standalone POS solution connected to JTL-Wawi afterwards, but an integrated part of the JTL ecosystem. This means products, prices, discounts, customer accounts and stock levels are available without manual synchronization between the POS and the ERP.
JTL-POS runs on Windows POS hardware and communicates with the JTL-Wawi database over the local network. For offline operation during a network outage, there is a local cache mode, transactions are then synchronized once the connection is restored.
- Native part of the JTL ecosystem, no third-party solution
- Real-time stock sync between branch and online shop
- Offline mode with automatic resynchronization
- Support for multiple POS terminals and multiple branches from a single ERP
TSE requirement, DSFinV-K and GoBD, what you need to know
Since January 1, 2023, all electronic checkout systems in Germany are required to use a certified technical security device (TSE). JTL-POS meets this requirement with an integrated TSE interface. All transactions are signed immutably and stored in an exportable format for tax audits.
During setup, TwoPixels ensures that your JTL-POS configuration fully meets the requirements of the Digital Interface of the Tax Authorities for Cash Register Systems (DSFinV-K). This covers correct tax class configuration, the receipt issuance obligation and GoBD-compliant archiving of checkout data.
- TSE integration with certified hardware (Epson or Diebold Nixdorf)
- DSFinV-K compliant data export for tax audits
- GoBD compliant archiving of all checkout transactions
- Tax class configuration aligned with your DATEV chart of accounts
Multi-tenant operation, multiple branches from a single ERP
JTL-POS supports operating multiple branches through a single JTL-Wawi instance. Each branch has its own POS profile, its own printers and its own user permissions, while stock is managed centrally. Branch-specific prices, discount campaigns and storage locations can be configured separately.
TwoPixels runs multi-tenant setups in real-world practice and knows the typical pitfalls: network latency across distributed locations, checkout closing timing across multiple branches and permission concepts for branch managers versus checkout staff.
- What: Central ERP with branch-specific POS profiles, Benefit: Single data basis, no synchronization needed between systems
- What: Branch-specific price groups and discount rules, Benefit: Promotions at branch 1 do not automatically affect branch 2
- What: Checkout closing per branch with central reporting, Benefit: Management sees all branches in a single report
Hardware recommendations for JTL-POS
Choosing the right hardware is crucial for trouble-free checkout operation. TwoPixels provides concrete hardware recommendations based on experience in productive environments.
For the POS computer, we recommend compact Windows 11 industrial PCs (e.g. Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny or Elo touch terminals) with at least 8 GB RAM and an SSD. As receipt printers, Epson TM-T20III and Epson TM-T88VII are proven and TSE compatible. For barcode scanners, we recommend wired Honeywell Voyager models. Card payment terminals are connected via the ZVT protocol (Verifone or Ingenico).
- POS computer: industrial PC with Windows 11 Pro, min. 8 GB RAM, SSD
- Receipt printer: Epson TM-T20III / TM-T88VII (TSE compatible)
- Barcode scanner: Honeywell Voyager 1202g (wired) or Zebra LI4278 (wireless)
- Card payment terminal: ZVT connection (Verifone V200c or Ingenico Move/5000)
- Cash drawer: Epson LD-300 II (compatible with Epson printers)
Customer card and voucher workflows
JTL-POS supports customer card systems and voucher workflows managed through JTL-Wawi. Customer accounts with discounts, loyalty points or specific price groups can be retrieved directly at the POS. Vouchers created in the online shop can be redeemed at the branch checkout, and the other way around.
TwoPixels configures these workflows to match your business model. No generic template, tailored to your customer loyalty strategy.
Training for your branch staff
The best POS configuration is worthless if staff cannot operate it. TwoPixels offers structured training for checkout staff and branch managers, on site in Schortens or remotely via screen sharing.
Training content: opening and closing the till, selling products with a barcode scanner, manual price entry, redeeming discounts and vouchers, returns and cancellations, cash counting and Z report printout, procedures during a system outage.
